Shaping Interculturality and Unity
Description
Introduction: 10 minutes
The workshop will began with an opening prayer, follow by a self-introduction of participants using the style of sing and mention names for easy recognition and identification of names.
Participants will be given a role to act out in the form of drama (stage play) in promoting cultural diversity.
The Cultural Diversity and Community Development project seek to promote unity, peace and coexistence among young people from different cultural backgrounds and at their working places.
Main Activities 25 minutes
Section A
- Introduction of host organization: this will outline Sedarvp Ghana mission, vision and their effort to promoting interculturality and peacebuilding for community development.
- The next session will be a presentation on cultural diversity for development
- Questions and Answer session: this will address issues concerning interculturality, cultural diversity and inclusion for community development.
The next session will be a presentation on Youth in Cultural Innovation and Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
This session seek to educate participants on how indigenous cultural innovation can create sustainable jobs for youth; using social/digital media in promoting sales.
Section B
Participants will be put into groups.
Each group will identify a cultural or social issue, briefly describe the issue and proposed solutions for community development.
10 minutes for group discussions
5 minutes for presentation of each group
Questions and Answer session by participants relating to the topics or issues presented on.
